Joel Crosbie started his wine career in 1992 in the cellars of Edna Valley Vineyards in San Luis Obispo, CA. After spending 10 years and growing into the Operations Manager for EVV, he left the winery to pursue owning his own company selling and servicing winery equipment in 2002. He partnered with a friend and long-time wine industry professional, Ron Schmidt, to provide equipment service to the entire Central Coast of California. That company, Coast Winery Systems, is still going strong after 20 years. In 2018, Joel started his second company, Crosbie Winery Consultants.

His work with Coast Winery Systems has taken Joel to some of the finest wine producing regions in the world, where he saw first-hand how facilities that produce from 2 to 20,000 barrels ran their operations. Always asking questions and tasting the wines wherever he traveled allowed Joel to develop a deep level of understanding of the wine industry.

Joel brought this knowledge to the Central Coast wine industry. Giving his friends and clients the insight to grow and raise the quality of their brands. After years of offering advice, he was finally given the opportunity to design a winery from scratch. That winery, a Riboli Family facility in Paso Robles, serves as a model of quality and efficiency today.
